Potential Winter Storm Monday Morning - 03/16/2026
Dear River Bend Families,
The National Weather Service is predicting a significant storm that will bring accumulating snow, strong winds, and near blizzard conditions Sunday night through Monday morning. As such, teachers have prepared students for the possibility of an e-learning day on Monday, including sending home Chromebooks for our older students. IAR testing scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled for Thursday should we have an e-learning day. If we are in attendance in person Monday, it will be imperative for students to bring their Chromebooks back to school with them as testing will occur as scheduled. If we have an e-learning day Monday, please be certain students bring their Chromebooks back on Tuesday as testing is also planned for Tuesday.
Unfortunately, determination for an e-learning day or a late start may not be possible until as late as early Monday morning. This allows enough time to make the best decision for the safety of all families in our district.
